2. How the Extension Works

AI Shield analyzes text content on web pages to detect AI-generated text. This analysis is performed entirely within your browser using local processing. No text, data, or metadata is sent to any external server, API, or third-party service.

3. Data Storage

AI Shield stores only your extension preferences (such as toggle settings and display options) using Chrome's local storage API. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted externally. It is automatically removed when you uninstall the extension.

4. Third-Party Services

AI Shield does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party service. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with any third party, for any purpose. Since we collect no data, there is nothing to share.

6. Permissions

AI Shield requests only the minimum browser permissions necessary to function:

• Active Tab: To analyze text content on the page you are currently viewing
• Storage: To save your extension preferences locally on your device

7. Children's Privacy

AI Shield does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected, the extension is safe for users of all ages.
